Every detailer is also background-checked before working with customers. In the rare event of any damage, we document it and process it through our insurance — not ask you to just trust us. We can provide a certificate of insurance in advance if your apartment or office building requires one.

Every Dallas Best Car Detailing detailer completes at least 300 hours of training before working on a customer's car alone: a background check first, then 150 hours of hands-on education, then 150 hours detailing real cars under a lead detailer's supervision — at least 50 supervised details. No one learns on your vehicle. Ever. Beyond that floor, detailers are trained to a defined tier standard covering completed details, training hours, and skill areas such as paint correction, leather treatment, and ceramic coating. Paint correction from Dallas Best starts at $499 and is quoted by vehicle size and the severity of the defects. A lightly swirled daily driver needs less work than a neglected single-stage finish, so we assess your paint and tell you whether a one-step or multi-stage correction makes sense before booking — not after. It's also the essential prep step before a ceramic coating.
No. Coming to your home or office is included in the price, not billed as a separate trip fee, anywhere in our DFW service area. Because Dallas is our home base, we reach Uptown, Plano, Frisco, and the surrounding suburbs without the long-haul travel charges some companies quietly add. You pay for the detail. That's it.
No hidden fees. Your price is set by vehicle size and the service you choose, calculated during booking, so you see the full total before we arrive — not after. The only time cost changes is for genuinely excessive conditions like heavy pet hair (about $50–$75) or biohazard cleanup, which need real extra time and materials. We quote that and get your okay before starting, never after.
Booking & Logistics
No. Our vans are fully self-contained with their own water and power. We never need access to your spigot, outlet, or utilities — which is exactly why we can work at apartment complexes, parking garages, and other locations where an outside hookup simply isn't available.
Yes. Dallas Best Car Detailing regularly details at apartment complexes across DFW, as long as you're authorized to use the parking space and there's room to open our van and work around the car. Covered garages, uncovered lots, assigned spaces — all of it works. Our containment equipment and insurance meet the requirements these facilities set, which is why we can also work in parking garages, aircraft hangars, and marina docks. If your building requires advance notice or a certificate of insurance, let us know and we'll provide one.
At-office detailing is one of our most popular requests, especially around Las Colinas and the Richardson Telecom Corridor. As long as you can park in a spot we're permitted to use, Dallas Best details your car during the workday and texts you the moment it's done. Most clients just leave the keys and stay in their meetings.
A Full Detail from Dallas Best takes about 3–4 hours for most vehicles, up to 5 for large SUVs and trucks. That covers a complete interior deep clean plus a hand wash, decontamination, and paint sealant on the exterior. We give you an estimated window when you book, so you can actually plan your day around it.
Yes — full-size trucks, three-row SUVs, vans, all of it. Larger vehicles are priced a bit higher (typically $25–$75 over the sedan rate) because they take more product and time, and that's confirmed in your quote before we start, not discovered after. Lifted and oversized vehicles are no problem as long as there's room to work around them.
Yes. Pet hair, smoke odor, biohazard cleanup — all part of our interior and deep-cleaning services. Heavy pet hair woven into carpet needs specialized tools and adds roughly $50–$75; severe odor or biohazard situations are priced on assessment because they genuinely require extra sanitation and PPE. We quote any add-on cost upfront and get your okay before we begin. Not after.
No. As long as we have access to your vehicle and a way to handle the keys, you don't need to be present. Most customers leave the car in the driveway or an office lot and go about their day — we text on arrival and at completion. You're welcome to be there if you prefer. Just not required.
Light rain doesn't affect interior-only services. For exterior or full details, we watch the forecast closely, and if conditions would keep us from doing the job properly, we contact you to reschedule at no charge. We won't rush compromised work just to keep the slot. Covered garages let exterior work continue in most weather anyway.
Same-week availability across DFW is typical, sometimes same-day for an Express service. Ceramic coating books out a little further because of the time it needs on site. For weekend slots, book 3–5 days ahead if you want your preferred time — those go first.
We ask for at least one hour of notice to cancel or reschedule without charge. Cancellations inside that window, and no-shows, carry a flat $50 fee — not because we're strict, but because the detailer committed the time slot and likely turned down other bookings to hold it for you. Reschedule anytime before that one-hour window from your account page.
Ceramic Coating
Rated for 2+ years even under DFW's intense UV and summer heat, and with proper hand-washing many clients get 3–4. Texas sun and road contamination are harder on coatings than milder climates, so the 2-year figure is what actually holds up under real local conditions — not an inflated lab number nobody's paint ever sees. A quick maintenance detail every few months keeps it performing at its best.
For most Dallas drivers keeping a car more than two years — yes. It's the best defense against the UV, heat, and bird-and-tree contamination that dull unprotected paint here. Starting at $899, it makes washing far easier, resists etching from droppings and sap, and helps protect resale value. If you lease or plan to sell within a year, a cheaper sealant probably makes more sense. We'll tell you that honestly, even though it's the smaller sale.
Keep the car dry for the first 7 days so the coating cures. Then hand wash only, pH-neutral soap — never automatic brush car washes, which scratch the coating you just paid to protect. Touchless washes are fine, and a detail spray every few months keeps it beading. We walk you through the full aftercare when the service is done, not in the fine print.
No. The paint has to be fully decontaminated and free of any wax, sealant, or residue before coating — which is why every ceramic package includes a one-step paint correction and full decontamination, not as an upsell but as the actual requirement. Coat over wax and it bonds to the wax instead of the clear coat, and it fails early. Correcting first is what makes the 2+ years real.
Yes. If the coating fails within the first year under normal use — not mechanical damage, abrasive washing, or harsh chemicals — we re-apply at no charge. Some installer programs charge $100–$200 a year just to keep a warranty valid. Ours doesn't have that catch.

Commuters and drivers near lakes or construction may want it more often; a garaged, ceramic-coated car can stretch it. Regular detailing costs far less than what a sun-baked, neglected car quietly loses at trade-in — that number just doesn't show up until you're standing in the lot.
Mainly how long they actually protect: carnauba wax lasts 4–8 weeks, a paint sealant 3–6 months, a professional ceramic coating bonds to the clear coat for 2+ years. We include a 3-month sealant with exterior and full details, and offer ceramic coating from $899 for drivers who want years of hydrophobic, UV-resistant protection instead of a repeat chore. Ceramic is the most durable and lowest-maintenance of the three — which is exactly what the harsh DFW climate rewards.
A microscopically thin layer — just enough to level the swirls, scratches, and oxidation sitting in it — leaving plenty behind when it's done properly. We measure paint depth and use the least aggressive method that resolves the defects, so the finish improves without being over-thinned. Done correctly and infrequently, it's completely safe. The harm comes from aggressive, repeated hack-jobs. Not from correction itself.
Yes — hand washing or touchless washes only. The spinning brushes in an automatic tunnel drag grit across the surface and create the very swirl marks the coating exists to prevent, which defeats the entire point of having it. Stick to a pH-neutral soap and a two-bucket wash, and the coating keeps beading and protecting for its full lifespan.
The Express Wash (from $150) is a thorough maintenance clean — hand wash, vacuum, glass, tire dressing — for a car that's generally kept up and just needs a reset. The Full Detail (from $225) is restorative: deep interior clean, shampooed carpets and seats, stain treatment, plus a decontaminated and sealed exterior. Been 3+ months since your last detail? Full Detail. Not a question.
Membership
Up to 3 unused details roll over. You may also pause the membership for up to 2 months in a year — for a deployment, a long trip, a stretch in the shop.
The membership covers one vehicle. Every other car in your household is 35% for as long as your membership is active.
You may cancel at any time. We settle up on what you have used and return the balance. We do not hold people who would rather not be held.
Yes. Every detail happens at your home or your office, anywhere in the eighteen cities we serve. You do not drive anywhere or wait in a lobby.
It is. The $499 member price includes a two-step buff and polish before the coating goes on, which is the part most shops skip. The same work is $1,299 without a membership.
