We never sell your data to third parties — we only use tools like Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to help you find us more easily and to improve your experience. You have the right to ask us to access, correct, or permanently delete your information at any time by contacting us directly.

Texas Resident Notice — TDPSA

As a Texas-based business, we comply with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), effective July 1, 2024. Texas residents have enhanced rights including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the right to appeal our decisions. Precise geolocation data (if collected to verify service area eligibility) is treated as sensitive data requiring explicit opt-in consent. To exercise your rights, contact us at the information provided in Section 12.

This Privacy Policy governs all personal data collected via our website, booking system, SMS communications, phone calls, and in-person interactions when we deliver services at your location.

2. Categories of Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to deliver our services (data minimization principle).

2.1 Data You Provide Directly

  • Full Name: Used for booking confirmation, appointment coordination, and communications.
  • Email Address: Used for booking confirmations, service receipts, and optional promotional communications.
  • Phone Number: Used to send transactional SMS messages and occasional promotional texts (with explicit opt-in only).
  • Service Address: Used solely to dispatch our technician to your property.
  • Vehicle Information: Year, make, model, color, and VIN — collected to prepare the correct products and techniques for your specific vehicle.
  • Gate / Access Codes: Used solely for service access and deleted from our systems within 30 days of service completion.
  • Payment Information: Processed exclusively through Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant). We do not store, transmit, or have access to your full card number.
  • Communications: Records of SMS, email, and phone interactions related to your service booking or inquiries.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

  • IP Address: Collected by our web hosting provider (Vercel) and analytics tools.
  • Browser Type & Device Information: Type of browser and device used to access our website.
  • Pages Visited & Booking Flow Interactions: Collected via Google Analytics.
  • Cookies & Tracking Pixels: See Section 5 for full details.
  • Approximate Geolocation: Derived from IP address to display service area eligibility. We do not collect GPS-level geolocation.

3. Method of Collection

  • Online Booking Form: At dallasbestdetail.com/booking.
  • Contact & Quote Forms: Via our website contact form.
  • Phone & SMS: When you call or text us directly.
  • Cookies & Tracking Pixels: Automatically when you browse our website.
  • In-Person: When our technicians collect vehicle access information on-site.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Service Delivery: To schedule, coordinate, and complete your mobile detailing appointment.
  • Transactional SMS: Confirmations, reminders (24-hour and 1-hour), arrival notifications, payment links, and post-service care instructions. Estimated 4–6 messages per appointment.
  • Promotional SMS: Only with explicit opt-in. Estimated 2–4 messages per month. Reply STOP to opt out.
  • Payment Processing: Via Stripe.
  • Customer Support: To respond to inquiries, complaints, and service-related questions.
  • Service Records: To maintain records of services performed for follow-up appointments.
  • Website Improvement: Using aggregated, anonymized data from Google Analytics.
  • Advertising Measurement & Retargeting: To measure Google Ads and Meta advertising campaign effectiveness and show relevant ads to previous visitors. See Section 5.
  • Legal Compliance: To meet federal, state, and local legal obligations including tax record-keeping.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

5.1 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; however, this may affect the functionality of our online booking system.

5.2 Google Analytics & Google Signals

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. Data collected includes pages visited, traffic sources, geographic location (city/region level), device type, and conversion events. Google may use this data for cross-device reporting via Google Signals if you are signed into a Google account.

Opt-Out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on or manage preferences at adssettings.google.com.

5.3 Google Ads & Remarketing

We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. If you visit our website without booking, Google may show you Dallas Best Car Detailing ads on other websites and apps.

5.4 Google Business Profile

We manage a Google Business Profile for local search visibility. Interactions with our profile are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5.5 Google Tag Manager (GTM)

We use Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage our analytics and advertising tags. GTM itself does not collect personal data.

5.6 Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram)

We have deployed the Meta Pixel on our website. The Meta Pixel:

  • Tracks Website Events: Records page views, booking initiations, and completed bookings as aggregated advertising performance data.
  • Enables Retargeting: Allows us to show ads on Facebook and Instagram to users who previously visited our website.
  • Advanced Matching: We may hash (one-way encrypt) certain contact data before sending it to Meta to improve conversion reporting accuracy. This data cannot be reverse-engineered.
  • Lookalike Audiences: We may upload hashed customer contact lists to create Lookalike Audiences. Only one-way hashed identifiers are used — not raw personal data.

Your Control: Manage off-Facebook activity at facebook.com/off_facebook_activity or adjust ad preferences at facebook.com/ads/preferences.

7. SMS / Text Messaging Disclosure

This section meets the requirements of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and carrier compliance standards for A2P 10DLC messaging.

  • Transactional Messages: Sent as part of your service booking — confirmations, reminders, arrival notifications, payment links, and post-service care tips. Approximately 4–6 messages per appointment.
  • Promotional Messages: Sent only if you explicitly opted in via a checkbox during booking. Estimated 2–4 messages per month.
  • Message & Data Rates: Standard rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.
  • Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message at any time to permanently unsubscribe from all future SMS communications.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message to receive support contact information.
  • No Third-Party Sharing: We will never sell, rent, or share your phone number with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

9. Your Privacy Rights

  • Right to Know / Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data. Note: We may retain data required by law even after a deletion request.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising (TDPSA): Texas residents may opt out of targeted advertising processing by contacting us or using the opt-out tools in Section 5.
  • Right to Data Portability: Request your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy rights.
  • Right to Appeal (TDPSA): Texas residents may appeal declined requests in writing. We will respond within 60 days.
  • Opt-Out of Marketing: Reply STOP to opt out of promotional SMS at any time.

10. Data Security

  • Encryption in Transit: HTTPS/TLS 1.2 or higher on all data transmission.
  • Encrypted Database Storage: Supabase (SOC 2 Type II compliant, AES-256 encryption at rest).
  • Role-Based Access Controls: Only authorized personnel can access customer data.
  • Payment Security: Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). Full card numbers never stored on our servers.
  • Secure SMS Infrastructure: SMS messages are delivered via Google Voice, subject to Google's security and privacy standards.

While we take all reasonable precautions, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We will notify you without undue delay in the event of a data breach affecting your rights and freedoms.

11. Children's Privacy
